Living Green with Terri Bennett - Earth Scientist, Eco-Expert, and Mom
Terri has been teaching elementary aged
children for decades. Her interactive weather and climate
presentation has been seen by thousands of students and she
has helped improve the science test scores of students all
across the Carolinas. Her specialty is getting 5th grade
students ready for their Weather and Climate End Of Grade
tests. Touching on all components of the 5th grade
standards, she brings atmospheric science to life for
students so they can comprehend the complicated atmosphere
around them.

"Our EOG scores went from the
low 60's on pre-testing
immediately before Mrs. Bennett's presentation, to
over 80 on the final testing!
Mrs. Bennett's presentation enabled my students to move
from the Remember (Knowledge) and Comprehension Levels
to the higher levels of Analyze and Create (Synthesis).
She was able to assess where they were and lead them to
higher ground. We look forward to her presentations this
year not only for our students, but also for us. We are
scheduling a professional development session on weather
