About Terri Bennett Meet Terri Bennett. She’s the President of Terri Bennett Enterprises and the co-founder of Do Your Part® for everyday green living.  As a media company specializing in all things green, Terri and her team have compiled an extensive video library with easy, economical, and efficient solutions for creating healthier homes and a healthier planet. These eco-friendly videos are syndicated to television stations across the country. Terri is also the author of a weekly column syndicated around the world through McClatchy-Tribune Information Services.  DoYourPart.com is home to all of the syndicated eco-friendly video and print content and also features a dedicated eco-news section and ‘Top 5’ lists with solutions to common green problems. Terri's first book, “Do Your Part: A Practical Guide to Every Day Green Living" was published in August 2011. Terri’s background is one steeped in science and journalism. She is a meteorologist that spent nearly 20 years in front of the camera delivering accurate and easy to understand nightly weather forecasts to millions. She also produced weekly segments about protecting the local water supply in a series named “WaterWise” and another on natural gardening techniques called “Terri’s Garden”. Her work on television earned her the title of “Best Weathercaster in the Carolinas” numerous times, two prestigious Emmy awards, and the “Excellence in Science Reporting” from the American Meteorological Society. After leaving the television business in 2007, Terri’s passion for the environment lead her to create "Do Your Part for everyday green living". Terri Bennett Enterprises now resides in a green office building near the heart of Uptown Charlotte and employs nearly a dozen people.  Terri is a mom who is constantly on the go. When she is not creating carpooling schedules and packing lunches (waste free, of course!), you can find her speaking to groups of all ages about her easy to implement ideas that will create healthier homes and families while saving our hard earned dollars. Terri also speaks at dozens of elementary schools each year to help students and teachers with the required weather and climate curriculum.
