Who Is Terri Bennett?
At the heart of the Do Your Part® team is founder Terri Bennett, a nationally recognized earth scientist, journalist and mom. Terri is the new face of the green movement. She hosts "GreenDish," a fast paced daily eco-news video and all of the feature Do Your Part® videos. She also writes the syndicated Do Your Part® newspaper column.

From 1991 to 2007, Terri provided nightly weather forecasts to the people living in the Charlotte, NC television market, becoming the first female Chief Meteorologist in the region.

In 2008, Terri started "Do Your Part" as a way of informing her audience about environmental sustainability. Since then, Do Your Part® has expanded it's footprint nationally and the team has grown to include journalists, photojournalists, producers, writers, social media experts, graphic and website designers, and editors.

The Radio and Television News Directors Association of the Carolinas named Terri “Best Weathercaster in the Carolinas” numerous times. Her work during Hurricanes Floyd and Francis earned her two prestigious Mid-South Regional Emmys for Excellence. In January of 2008, Terri received the “Excellence in Science Reporting by a Broadcast Meteorologist Award” from the American Meteorological Society for the WaterWise franchise she developed.
