So now that I know we’re having a boy (and probably no more babies) I spent the weekend going through
the baby clothes I had packed and saved in case we ever had another girl. On top of that, my sister had been
saving the clothes from her twin girls just in case. So the two of us joined forces this weekend and
went through container and container of clothes. We set aside piles and piles of clothes for relatives, Goodwill,
and Ebay. Do you know the value of matching twin sets on EBay?? It’s insane! And, for the clothes that are
just too stained and worn for someone else, they’ll be going to Goodwill’s scrap center to be used for stuffing
and the like. It was a bit of a chore but it was also nice to remember all the times that our girls wore a
certain outfit and know that someone else will get a chance to enjoy these same clothes that were so lovingly
bought and used. As an aside, I need this nesting phase to end! I’m exhausted.

I’m cleaning out my daughter’s closet today and will be sending clothes and toys to Goodwill and posting on eBay! Yes, quite a chore to go through all this stuff. But boy will it feel good when it’s all done.

So, you might have read my post about my husband ”peeking” during an ultrasound and why I’ve been mad at him
ever since! A month later and I just had another ultrasound. He was right, we’re having a boy!

So Miss Megan – what are your thoughts about cloth diapers? Are you going to give them a try? Using a diaper company? Just curious!

Diapers is a tough subject! I’m going to try out a hybrid system from
FuzziBunz that is super cute. I actually gave them to my sister for her
twins and she loves them. Terri did a story which featured them…just
search for diapers and it’s the first one to pop up!

Looks like a girl to me. Cute button nose. Or- is that an elbow?

    I hope it’s a boy! But knowing Scott like I do…..it’s probably a girl. :-)

Ok, if you watched the weekend edition of GreenDish, Terri promised I would be sharing my ”I’m going to kill my
husband – ultrasound story”. When I was pregnant with my two year old, Tess, we didn’t find out if we were
having a boy or girl. My husband didn’t want to know and I decided that was fine since he should have some say in
the pregnancy. So this time around, he wanted to do the same thing although I thought it would be
more practical to find out. Anyway, we were having one last ultrasound with our specialist (because I’m 35) and
were told to close our eyes during parts of it. Late that same Friday night, my dear husband said, ”I think
we’re having a boy.” He apparently decided he didn’t really want to close his eyes when he was told to – but
didn’t bother to speak up while he did so. So, first thing Monday morning I called the doctor’s office only to
find out that they really don’t write the sex down. And, I also found out that it would be my last ultrasound
because all tests had come back healthy. So, unless we fork over $450 for an ultrasound we won’t be finding out. So,
So, do I trust my husband’s eyes? He says he’s 75% sure. Reassuring. And, he still doesn’t understand why I’m
    still so furious…

That is such a funny story! I would have KILLED my husband if he did that. Lucky for me he wanted to know to so that made life easier!

Hello! This is the first post in our new Mamas-To-Be community group. I am the Executive Producer of Do Your
Part and also expecting my second child. For my little girl, I made several eco-friendly decisions but now I feel
I am more informed and will be doing even more. Glass bottles? Check. 100% organic blankets and bedding?
Check. Non-toxic toys? Check. But now, I’m on the hunt for a safer crib mattress and so much more! Are you
expecting? I’d love to chat about what you’ll be doing to green up your newborn’s routine!
